The following list is an approximation for those expenses commonly experienced by students. Each individual will find there is variation depending on the source and item purchased, and changing college enrollment fees.

Program Specific Costs (Approximated and subject to change) $8,500
- Approximately $4000 will be needed at the beginning of the first semester.
- During the last semester of the program, students will be required to take both the state and national board examinations prior to being licensed as a dental hygienist.
- During the last semester of the program, students will be required to take both the state and national board examinations prior to being licensed to practice as a dental hygienist.
- The fee for the national written examination is approximately $150.
- The fee for the state clinical examination is approximately $525 with an additional expense for state board patients.
- Instrument kits, Loupes, and student kits are designed by the program faculty. The Program works specifically with vendors who have dental education at the forefront of their services. The instrument kit is purchased in the first week of school. Every effort is made to keep all costs at a minimum to the student. Students are required to purchase the instrument kit through the program.
- Uniforms are selected by the program faculty
- Students will be required to join the Student American Dental Hygienists' Association (SADHA/TBA annually)
This cost estimate does not include costs of transportation, campus parking, meals, or lodging for students.
Financial assistance is available. Students seeking assistance should contact the Financial Aid Office on campus (242-7700). There are scholarships available for nursing students.
