Notice to POST 9-11 GI Bill Recipients: Current Payment Processing Timeline
At this time, the Department of Veteran Affairs is receiving an unprecedented number of education claims. As a result, processing of claims under Chapter 33 is temporarily taking between 6 and 8 weeks from the date Muskogee receives enrollment certification. Shasta College is extending tuition and fee deferment to those Veterans utilizing the Post 9-11 GI Bill during the Fall 09 term until fee payments are received from the DVA. We realize the tuition deferral does not address the delay in the book and supplies stipend and/or the housing allowance for those who are eligible. We ask for your patience and understanding during this initial phase of the new GI Bill implementation process.
